As a Power Systems u0026amp; Software Engineer in Siemens PTI Consulting, you will develop and validate software-enabled tools for power flow, security calculations, and operational decision support. You will bridge power systems expertise with software development to deliver robust modelling and analysis for transmission and distribution networks. You will work with cross-functional teams to align analytics with customer objectives and drive continuous improvement. This role offers impact in supporting energy transition through advanced tools and bespoke solutions. You will operate in a hybrid environment across Europe, contributing to meaningful energy system outcomes.

• Implement, test, and maintain software solutions, prototypes, and automation tools for power flow analysis and decision support.
• Integrate analytical tools with databases and external vendor platforms.
• Participate in testing, validation, and ongoing improvement of applications and models.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships to secure ongoing business.
• Provide technical and project leadership to ensure successful delivery of engagements.
• Assess customer requirements and propose tailored power system analysis solutions using standard tools and customisations.




• Expertly use PSSE and DIgSILENT PowerFactory for high-quality modelling and analysis.
• Develop software primarily in Python, including automation scripts for studies and decision support.
• Develop and validate MATLAB/Simulink models for equipment and network performance.
• Support automation and scripting in PSSE to improve efficiency.

Responsabilidades
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related quantitative field
• Strong Python programming and software development experience with PyCharm, Visual Studio Code, and Git
• Solid software engineering fundamentals and maintainable code practices
• Proven experience in power systems modelling and analysis with PSSE and DIgSILENT PowerFactory
• Experience using MATLAB/Simulink for model development and validation
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and proactive mindset
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and customer stakeholders
• Demonstrated subject matter leadership and cross-functional collaboration
