Your role:
We are looking for a Buyer to build and own THEKER's purchasing function from the ground up.
THEKER builds physical robots. That means a continuous flow of electronic components, mechanical parts, sensors, cables, and custom hardware, often with tight timelines and no room for supply failure. Right now, purchasing is distributed across the engineering team. Your job is to change that.
You will create structure: qualify and manage suppliers, drive cost discipline, reduce lead times, and ensure the right components are available when the engineering and integration teams need them. You will work directly with Mechanical, Electronics, and Robotics Integration engineers on sourcing decisions, BOM management, and component availability, becoming the operational backbone of everything we build.
What we’re looking for
- 2-3 years of experience in audit, financial control,



inventory accounting, or a similar backoffice function, ideally at an industrial, manufacturing, or logistics company.
- Direct exposure to inventory management or physical goods flows from inside an operating company, not only through client engagements.
- Strong analytical rigor and attention to detail on numbers, documentation, and process.
- Clear intent to move from a backoffice or advisory function into a role with direct business ownership, and natural ease engaging with people.
- Native Spanish and fluent English.
- Based in Barcelona or willing to relocate (100% on-site role).
Nice to have
- Background in a Big Four or mid-tier audit firm, financial due diligence, or internal control functions.
- Experience with inventory audits, physical stock counts, or SKU-level data.
- Familiarity with ERP or procurement tools (SAP, Odoo, or similar).
- Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Industrial Engineering.

Main Responsibilities




- Own the end-to-end procurement process: sourcing, RFQs, supplier selection, PO management, and delivery follow-up.
- Build and maintain a qualified supplier base for electronics, mechanical components, and custom hardware.
- Work with engineering teams on BOM management, component selection, and alternative sourcing when needed.
- Track pricing and lead times across suppliers, and act on what you find to cut cost and improve reliability.
- Monitor open POs and delivery timelines, and flag supply risks before they hit production or deployment.
- Manage inventory levels for recurring components, balancing availability against cash tied up in stock.
- Build procurement infrastructure from scratch: approval workflows, spend visibility, vendor evaluation criteria, documentation standards.
- Take on supplier negotiations directly as you grow into the role, with coaching from the team.
