The successful candidate will:

Undertake archival research tasks

Extract notarial records

Create databases to reconstruct testamentary life stories.

A Master’s Degree in the field of History.

Specific Requirements

Knowledge of palaeography and research into documents from the Ancien Régime, particularly notarial records.

Language requirements:

An accredited B2 in Catalan and C1 in English.

Experience requirements:

Years of Research Experience 1 - 4

Compensation may be higher where the successful candidate accredits recognised professional experience.

Eligibility criteria

- Curricular merits in the field (max. 40 points).
- Qualifications in the specialist area (max. 20 points), other (max. 5 points).
- Video curriculum and, if applicable, personal interview (max. 20 points).




- Experience in the field (max. 15 points). E.g.: > 3 years (10 points), < 3 years (5 points).
- Other merits (max. +5 points). E.g.: recommendation letters.

Eligibility threshold: 60 points.

Candidates who hold the qualification corresponding to the required category in the job offer with a non‑EU degree, if selected, must present a certificate of equivalence of their non‑EU qualification to a European qualification, or proof of having applied for this equivalence, in order to proceed with their hiring. The equivalence can be requested from the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities of Spain.

Selection process

In accordance with article 8 of the REGULATORY AGREEMENT of 15th June 2022 that approves the regulation governing the recruitment of research staff under chapter 6 allocation of the university budget, as well as technical or operational research staff.

Selection comitee

i. The relevant Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research (or person s/he delegates), as chair.

ii. The management team for the relevant department.

iii. The members of the Research Area Assessment Committee (CARAI).

iv. Three experts in the field pertaining to recruitment, where appropriate, appointed by the chair of the committee, having heard from the management team of the department.

v. The head of the Management Office for the Research Promotion and Human Resources Programme (or person s/he delegates), acting as secretary, who may speak but not vote.
