Senior Mechanical / Electromechanical Engineer

This company are actively looking to expand their engineering team with a multidisciplined engineer.

Candidate profile:

- Master’s degree is essential — preferably Mechanical Engineering. Also open to Systems, Electromechanical, Chemical, Aerospace, Machinery or similar engineering degrees.
- Ideally around five years’ professional experience; four years could work for an excellent candidate.
- Industrial design, metal products, machinery or general mechanical product-development experience could all transfer well.
- Must be technically strong, analytical, proactive, independent and capable of raising the engineering level.
- Strong 3D CAD/drawing skills are required.

Role:

This will be the first engineer on site dedicated specifically to fire products,



so it is more important than a standard design-engineering vacancy.

The person will:

- Transfer technical knowledge from their established US operation into Belgium.
- Adapt products for the European market, including legislation, standards, certifications and approvals.
- Support the production ramp-up.
- Cover a broad mixture of mechanical engineering, CAD, testing, research, project management and customer communication.
- Work cross-functionally with production, quality, sales and international engineering teams.

Practical details

- Salary range: approximately €4,000–€6,000 gross per month.
- Hybrid working: approximately 2–3 days from home once onboarded.
