For an international organisation within the automotive sector, I am looking for a Freelance Business / Functional Analyst. You will support various IT projects across Belgium and the UK, acting as the bridge between business, IT, architecture, and external vendors.

Your assignment

- Analyse and translate business needs into detailed requirements, user stories, story maps, use cases, functional specifications, non-functional requirements, and clear acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with Solution Architects, Project Managers, and business stakeholders to clarify functional and regulatory requirements and translate them into feasible IT solutions.
- Collaborate with external vendors responsible for implementation, ensuring that the requested functionalities are clearly, fully, and consistently understood and validated.
- Support testing and implementation by defining test cases, validating results during User Acceptance Testing (UAT),



and keeping process and project documentation up to date and reusable.

Your profile

- You have experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst and are skilled in requirements analysis, process analysis, and structuring complex business needs.
- You have sufficient technical knowledge to collaborate effectively with IT teams, for example around Java or .NET, Microsoft Azure, SaaS solutions, and data integration techniques.
- You are a strong communicator, both verbally and in writing, and know how to engage different stakeholders throughout your analysis. You are fluent in Dutch and English.
- You are analytical and process-oriented, with a good understanding of both business processes and the capabilities of an IT organisation. Experience with or knowledge of EU legislation is a plus, but not a requirement.
