ResponsibilitiesICapital is seeking a Backend Software Engineer at Vice President level. You will design, build, and operate services that power the iCapital platform You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and technical partners throughout the development lifecycle.
Our service-oriented platform primarily uses Scala, Ruby, and Python, but prior experience with these languages is not required. We value strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to learn new technologies Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain cloud-based services and APIsTranslate product and business needs into practical technical solutions Own projects from design through production rollout and ongoing support Write maintainable code and contribute to technical design decisions Participate in code reviews and improve engineering standards Build testing, observability, security,



and operational readiness into services Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve delivery, investigation, and learning Qualifications Understanding of cloud application development and distributed systems5+ years experience building or integrating with APIs and backend services Experience using AI-assisted development tools to plan work, refine specifications, delegate tasks, and validate implementation quality Knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases and data modeling8+ years experience with a modern programming language such as Ruby, Scala, Python, Java, or Type Script Familiarity with automated testing, version control, and modern software delivery practices Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills
