You will serve as a DEPUTY OFFICER IN CHARGE (DOIC) of FWD DEPLOYED REG MAINT CTR DET ROTA Spain.

Duties

Help

- You will oversee ship repair contracts related to repair of naval ships and craft in foreign ports and private shipyards
- You will oversee the development, planning, and execution of civilian staffing plans in order to ensure that proper manning resources are available to complete the mission.
- You will provide administrative policy, management guidance, and financial execution direction in support of the command.
- You will provide technical guidance on funding sources for ship repair and alterations.
- You will identify problems and program deficiencies, including engineering capability (core equities, technical stewardship, and interoperability), personnel and safety determining actions necessary to assure program execution and accomplishment.

- If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.

- May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized Experience Must Include

- Utilizing knowledge of naval shipbuilding regulations and procedures to plan and control all faucets of naval ship repair.
- Overseeing various contracts and contractual implications to ensure ships, crafts, and equipment are mission ready.
- Overseeing the execution of funding and personnel management to ensure proper resources are available.
- Applying shipbuilding and engineering procedures to the planning and control of naval ship repair (i.E. material procurement, repair coordination;
quality control).
