In this role, you will manage planning and tracking of external clinical study costs across countries to support Clinical Development Operations and Medical Affairs. You will partner with study teams to forecast, accrue, and analyze clinical costs, ensuring data quality and timely reporting. You will act as the financial advisor for country study teams and drive process improvements in cost management. This is an opportunity to impact budgeting accuracy and cost optimization in a integral clinical program. You will work in an international, cross-functional environment and communicate with a wide range of colleagues.Plan and track external clinical study costs in the cost tracking system with country study teamsForecast clinical study costs in collaboration with study teamsCalculate and post monthly accruals for clinical study costsMonitor monthly cost actuals and provide deviation analyses to country study teamsEnsure data quality of country study cost forecastsMaintain knowledge of country-specific cost drivers and related contractsServe as the point of contact for country study teams on clinical study financesCommunicate effectively across professional levels and functions in an international environmentSeek support from the Bayer Local Organization as neededIdentify opportunities for process improvementBachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Admin / Pharmaceuticals / Life Sciences or equivalent3 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry or a CROAdvanced finance knowledge desirableKnowledge of the clinical development lifecycle / drug development processAbility to influence without hierarchical authorityWillingness to embrace change and work in a changing environmentAbility to collaborate with all levels of the organizationFluent in English and strong written/verbal communicationProficient in Microsoft Excel and affinity to financial systemscross-functional collaborationeffective written and verbal communicationMicrosoft Excelbudgeting and forecasting
