Interim Senior Accountant – Madrid/Hybrid
3–4 Months Immediate Start
I’m supporting an international organisation with an urgent requirement for an Interim Senior Accountant to support its finance operations in Madrid during a period of transition.
This is a hands‑on assignment for someone who can get up to speed quickly, take ownership and operate independently with minimal onboarding.
The assignment will cover:
Month‑end close and reporting across multiple Spanish entities/properties
US GAAP and Spanish/local GAAP reporting
Balance sheet ownership, VAT, fixed assets, intercompany, AP/AR and cash
SOX controls, statutory compliance and audit support
Working closely with FP&A; to explain actuals and key movements
Supporting an Assistant Accountant and providing continuity across the finance function
What we’re looking for:




Strong accounting experience within an international environment
Knowledge of Spanish GAAP and US GAAP
Experience within a SOX‑controlled environment
Strong Excel and ERP systems experience
Spanish language skills are highly desirable
