Grid Models & Simulation Engineer At Hays, we are collaborating with a leading international company in the renewable energy sector to find a Grid Models & Simulation Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and validating advanced grid simulation models that support the integration of renewable energy into modern power systems. Working in a collaborative international environment, you will contribute to grid compliance, certification, and customer-driven projects, helping to deliver reliable and efficient wind energy solutions across integral markets. What would your duties be? - Develop, validate, and maintain electrical simulation models for WTGs and WFCs in RMS and EMT environments. - Support grid integration studies, grid connection processes, and wind farm suitability assessments. - Collaborate with utilities, grid operators, customers, and certification bodies to define and meet technical requirements. - Define and execute model testing and validation activities to ensure compliance with performance and grid code requirements. - Maintain technical documentation and model configuration records within PLM systems. - Support electrical certification activities through the delivery of market-compliant simulation models. - Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve technical issues and drive continuous model improvements. Which are the requirements for this position? - 5+ years of experience working as a Grid Models & Simulation Engineer or similar roles. - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.



- Strong understanding of power systems, renewable energy integration, and grid compliance requirements. - Experience in electrical modeling and simulation of grid-connected generation systems. - Proficiency in power system simulation software, including: PSCAD, PSS®E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory - Knowledge of RMS and EMT simulation methodologies. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to work effectively in an international, cross-functional environment Key Deliverables - High-quality validated simulation models for WTGs and WFCs. - Timely support for grid integration, certification, and customer projects. - Accurate technical documentation and model traceability. - Compliance with grid code, certification, and customer requirements.
