You will work closely with the HSE Lead, construction teams, andcontractors—spending most of your time on site monitoring activities, advising teams, andensuring safety and environmental standards are followed in practice. This is a practical,field-based role adecuado for someone who likes being on site, solving problems fast, and keepingpeople safe.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure that commissioning activities comply with safety, hygiene, environmental, and health standards.Conduct safety inspections during testing, hot works, energization, work at height, blasting operations, and handling hazardous waste.Manage work permits, including hot work, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), and confined space entry.Coordinate with the Client's HSE team regarding specific safety training, emergency plans,



and control of emissions and waste.Supervise compliance with environmental regulations (gas emissions, dust, leachates) and environmental mitigation measures.Monitor site activities continuously to advise construction teams and ensure safety standards are actively implemented on-field.RequirementsPrevious experience as an HSE Officer or HSE Advisor on construction or industrial projects.Good understanding of Spanish HSE regulations and EU safety requirements.Experience in heavy industry, process plants, energy, or metals projects is an advantage.Comfortable working on site and engaging directly with supervisors and crews.Strong communication skills—clear, calm, and confident when handling critical site matters.EU passport or legal right to work in Spain required.Spanish and English language skills are highly preferred.What's on OfferCompetitive day/monthly rate.Hands-on role with strong learning exposure alongside senior HSE and engineering teams.Opportunity to develop within a global consultancy environment on a major sustainable industrial project.9-month contract duration with a possible extension.SilverBack is an equal opportunities employer.
