To strengthen our Technical Service team in Algeciras, we are looking for a skilled and motivated LSA&FFE;/Calibration Service Technician.

The Role & Responsibilities

As a LSA&FFE;/Calibration Service Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, servicing, testing, and calibration of marine safety and technical equipment, both at our service facility and on-board seagoing vessels.

Depending on your technical background and experience, you may work within one or more of the following areas:

- Calibration: Gas detectors, UTI units, pressure gauges, calibrators, ODME/OWS equipment, and related measuring instruments.
- Fire Fighting Equipment (FFE): Fire extinguishers, SCBA, EEBD, and other marine fire safety equipment.
- Life Saving Appliances (LSA): Liferafts, lifeboats, personal life-saving equipment, and related systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Inspecting, servicing, maintaining, testing, and calibrating marine safety and technical equipment.




- Performing technical service activities on board vessels and at service facilities.
- Working in accordance with manufacturer requirements, applicable procedures, and maritime standards.
- Diagnosing technical issues and reporting findings accurately.
- Preparing service reports, inspection records, and certificates.
- Maintaining service tools, testing equipment, and calibration instruments.
- Coordinating with customers, vessel representatives, and internal teams.
- Participating in domestic and international service assignments when required.

Experience in all three service areas is not required. Responsibilities will be aligned with your qualifications and professional experience.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Vocational, technical, or engineering-related education is preferred.
- Relevant fields include Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Instrumentation & Calibration, Marine Engineering, Maritime Technical Studies, or a related discipline.
- Relevant professional experience may be considered in place of formal education.
- Previous experience in technical service, maintenance, inspection, calibration, FFE, or LSA is preferred.
- Experience with marine safety equipment, onboard technical services, or vessel inspections is considered an advantage.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals, service instructions, and equipment specifications.




- Must live in Algeciras or the surrounding area, or be willing and able to relocate to the area.
- Fluent Spanish is required.
- Fluent English is mandatory, both written and spoken.
- Valid Category B driving licence.
- Technical, accurate, reliable, and safety-conscious approach to work.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Willingness to work adaptable hours when operationally required.
- Willingness to travel internationally, primarily within Europe, for service assignments.
