At Grand Hyatt Barcelona, one of the city’s newest and most prestigious luxury hotels, we are looking for a committed, proactive, and service-oriented Steward to join our Culinary team.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and availability of all crockery, glassware, cutlery, kitchen utensils, and equipment, supporting the smooth operation of our kitchens, restaurants, and banquet facilities.

About the Role

As a Steward, you will act as an ambassador of the Hyatt brand, ensuring that all kitchen areas and operational equipment are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and organization.

This is an operational position with a rotating schedule, including evening shifts, weekends, and public holidays according to hotel operational needs. You will work closely with the Culinary and Food & Beverage teams to ensure a smooth and efficient operation at all times.

Key Responsibilities

- Clean, sanitize, and properly store crockery, glassware, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchens, stewarding areas, storage rooms, and banquet back-of-house areas.

- Operate and maintain dishwashing and cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.

- Ensure clean equipment is readily available and properly organized for operational teams.

- Support cleanliness and order across all food production and service areas.

- Follow hygiene, food safety, and workplace safety procedures at all times.

- Report equipment malfunctions and maintenance needs proactively.





- Support waste management and recycling procedures according to hotel standards.

- Collaborate effectively with Culinary and Food & Beverage teams to ensure operational efficiency.

- Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

Qualifications

- Minimum 1 year of previous experience in a Stewarding or similar role.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

- Strong commitment to cleanliness, organization, and quality standards.

- Physical ability to remain standing for extended periods and handle moderate lifting tasks.

- Strong teamwork and communication skills.

- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

- Positive attitude and genuine desire to support others and provide excellent service.

- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices will be considered an asset.

- Fluency in Spanish is required; English knowledge will be considered an asset.
