At Grand Hyatt Barcelona, one of the city’s newest and most prestigious luxury hotels, we are looking for a qualified, proactive, and service-oriented Stewarding Supervisor to join our Culinary and Food & Beverage team.

About the Role
As a Stewarding Supervisor, you will act as an ambassador of the Hyatt brand, supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the culinary and Food & Beverage departments.
You will supervise the stewarding team, coordinate daily activities, and ensure that all kitchen equipment, china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and back-of-house areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and presentation.
This is an operational position with a rotating schedule, including shifts, evenings, weekends, and public holidays according to hotel operational needs. You will work closely with the Culinary, Food & Beverage, Banquets, and other hotel departments to ensure a seamless operation, particularly during high-volume services, buffets, banquets, and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising, coordinating, and supporting the daily activities of the stewarding team
- Ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation, and availability of all china, glassware, silverware, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of all kitchens, stewarding areas, storage rooms, loading areas, and back-of-house spaces
- Supporting high-volume operations, including buffets, banquets, conferences, and events
- Coordinating with the Culinary, Food & Beverage, and Banquets teams to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of equipment and supplies
- Ensuring compliance with HACCP, food safety, hygiene, cleaning, disinfection, and occupational health and safety procedures
- Supervising the correct use, storage, and handling of cleaning products and equipment
- Monitoring waste separation, disposal, and recycling procedures in accordance with hotel standards
- Assisting the Stewarding Manager with inventory control, stock rotation, and accurate recordkeeping
- Reporting damaged, missing, or defective equipment and following up on maintenance requirements
- Training, guiding, and motivating stewarding colleagues
- Ensuring that all operational areas are ready for daily service and special events
- Responding promptly to requests from the Culinary, Food & Beverage, and Banquets departments
- Supporting team scheduling, task allocation, and daily operational planning
- Using basic computer tools and internal management applications to record information and support the operation

Qualifications
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in stewarding, kitchen stewarding, back-of-house operations, or operational cleaning, preferably in a hotel of a similar category.
- Experience working in high-volume service environments, including buffets, banquets, conferences, and events.
- Knowledge of HACCP, professional cleaning and disinfection procedures, waste management, and occupational health and safety.
- Minimum education level of ESO or equivalent.
- Further training in Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Restaurant Management, or Service Management will be valued.
- Basic knowledge of computer tools and internal management applications.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Proactive, responsible, and service-oriented attitude.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and support a diverse team.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Fluency in Spanish is required; knowledge of English will be considered an asset.
