Required Technical Skills

Scope of Work:

- Perform database administration tasks of MSSQL and open source databases;
- Provide day-to-day support and maintenance of applications and tools for the UNICC and partners;
- Resolve in a timely manner Tier-2 application issues and escalate Tier-3 issues to Designated focal points;
- Assist in the evaluation, configuration and installation of new releases in accordance with established configuration management standards;
- Assist in applications structural changes required during system upgrades;
- Assist in the deployment of tools and in the implementation of processes to assist in operational support;
- Assist in responding to application-related queries from end users in remote locations;
- Facilitate knowledge transfer to Tier-1 and deliver end-user training sessions on the application functionality.
- Assist in the development and in the updating of software applications related documentation, including technical documentation and system reports, attend operational and other meetings;
- Provide standby and on-call 24×7 support, and work in shifts when requested;
- Provide other ad hoc support either within your team or in other teams as required – this includes the participation in special projects or support to service delivery for short period of time on a part-time or full-time basis upon request from the senior management;
- Perform other duties, as required.





The resource MUST have the following skills and experience::

• 3 to 5 years of experience in application maintenance and general IT support;• Assist in deploying and maintaining cloud identity platforms based on client requirements.

- Good working knowledge of client/server applications in a Windows/Linux environment;
- Good working knowledge of Database Management;
- Very good knowledge of English (both written and verbal) is required.
- High school diploma

The resource SHOULD have the following skills and experience:

- At least three years of experience administering Microsoft Windows server, SQL Server databases and .NET applications.
- Good working knowledge of MySQL, RedHat Linux server, and Drupal applications
- Good working knowledge of integral Active Directory Architecture, AWS and Azure
- Familiarity with United Nations policy framework for International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) or compliant operational concepts and processes
- Knowledge of another official United Nations language is desirable

Soft skills:

- Ability to grasp complex concepts, logical and analytical approach to solving problems
- Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team of diverse skills
- Willingness to improve knowledge and skills and learn new technologies

Desirable certifications:

- Certifications and advanced training in Microsoft technologies
- Certification and familiarity with ITIL concepts and processes

Teleworking Option:

- Yes, up to 1 day per week

On-call requirements:

- One week per month
