Your mission

Hiab is seeking a data-driven, proactive Sourcing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in vendor selection and the tracking of cost-reduction initiatives to hit annual productivity goals for your specific category. By utilizing integral benchmarking and expert negotiation, you will work to maximize purchasing synergies and leverage company spend. You will take ownership of implementing sourcing category strategies and uncovering new opportunities, focusing on executing sourcing activities designed to minimize total acquisition costs and secure a benchmark total cost of ownership.

The position can be based in Stargard or Gdansk (Poland) as well as Zaragoza (Spain), or fully remote. You will report to our Category Manager Hydraulics.

Key responsibilities

- Collaborate, identify, develop and execute sourcing activities across Hiab spend to optimize use of Hiab resources over the E2E product lifecycle, addressing strategic commercial sourcing requirements, supplier preferencing, securing early focus on service and end-of-life requirements, supplier consolidation, and pipeline to secure continuity of supply and emerging business needs.
- Prepare Hiab RFQs, analyze data, prepare for negotiation and/or negotiate/business award according to delegation of authority.
- Identify,



propose and implement cost-saving actions defined to meet year-on-year productivity targets for the category.
- Develop open‑book costings, budgets and raw material forecasting for the suppliers within scope.
- Participate cross-functionally in New Product Development, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), early supplier involvement and selection with technology development, productivity, total cost reduction make/buy programs, should‑cost modelling, and business process and system implementation.
- Manage and improve Hiab-wide supplier performance using category supplier development resources and QDCI balanced scorecard methodology to monitor and improve performance across key metrics.
- Support new product development by owning and leading all sourcing deliverables within their area of responsibility, including fulfillment of technical requirements, quality and delivery assurance deliverables.
- Lead the QAP process of activities assigned with support of Supplier Development.
- Promote and secure supplier participation in Cargotec Supply Chain Finance programs.
- Follow Services Strategy Execution including branding to increase capture rate and spare part revenues.
