Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Bunker Broker role based in Madrid.

The Bunker

Broker will manage daily bunker enquiries, source fuel options, and negotiate competitive prices and terms with suppliers. The role involves coordinating bunker arrangements for vessels, monitoring market trends, and providing clients with timely, accurate information on fuel availability, pricing, and logistics.

Broker will maintain close communication with shipowners, charterers, and suppliers, prepare and follow up on offers, confirm orders, and ensure proper documentation and compliance. Day-to-day tasks also include maintaining client and supplier databases, supporting business development activities,



and collaborating with internal teams to improve service quality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

- Experience in maritime, shipping, logistics, or related commercial roles, ideally within bunkering or shipbroking.
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with the ability to secure favorable terms and build long-term business relationships.
- Solid analytical and numerical skills for assessing market data, pricing structures, and cost implications.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with international clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency with standard office software and business tools; familiarity with shipping or trading systems is an advantage.
- High level of organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple enquiries and deadlines simultaneously.
- Fluency in English and Spanish; additional languages relevant to maritime markets are a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in Madrid and collaborate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Relevant academic background in business, economics, maritime studies, or a related field is preferred.
