Open PhD position on “Leading-edge computational techniques for non-linear attosecond dynamics” (TECH-FOR-ATTO Project) at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) under the supervision of Prof. A. Palacios and J. González-Vázquez, funded by the Spanish Ministry for Science, Innovation and Universities.

The PhD project seeks to expand and develop quantum algorithms for quantum chemistry, with application for the investigation of electron dynamics induced by attosecond light pulses.

Position details: 48-month duration.

Candidate’s profile: Master’s Degree in Quantum Technologies, Sciences and/or Engineer; Quantum Computing or Theoretical Chemistry and Computation (or related programs). Background on numerical methods and programming skills (scientific programming: Phython, Jupyter, Qiskit and/or Quantum Computing).

Starting date: PhD contract is expected to start December 1st, 2026.
