Scopely is looking for an Accounting Associate to join our expanding Accounting Finance Team in Barcelona, working on a hybrid basis 3 days a week from the hub.

As the Finance team, we’re number crunchers with top-notch analytical and reporting skills. This role will support the day-to-day operations of the Accounting function while contributing to continuous improvement across all departmental processes.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies
Record general ledger entries in compliance with local and group accounting policies
Assist with the month-end close and general ledger reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team on reconciliations and discrepancy resolution
Provide support during external and internal audits
Partner with cross-functional teams to support business units with financial and accounting insights




5+ years of experience in general accounting
~ Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
~ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
~ Demonstrated experience recording and maintaining accruals, prepaid expenses, and reclassification entries
~ Experience performing flux analysis, including identifying, investigating, and explaining significant period-over-period variances
~ Experience working with ERP systems

Experience with Oracle ERP
Experience working within a shared service center or centralized accounting function
