For an international organization in Brussels, Belgium , we are looking for an experienced Senior AI Engineer to develop advanced solutions in Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence .

You will design and develop NLP and Machine Learning solutions , train custom ML/deep learning models and work on machine translation, data analytics and AI architecture .

EU candidates are welcome to apply and must be willing to relocate to Brussels.

Candidates must be fluent in English. Work permit sponsorship is not provided.

Tasks and Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain AI, Machine Learning and NLP applications ;
- Train and optimize custom Machine Learning and Deep Learning models using structured and unstructured data;
- Develop and improve Machine Translation (MT) solutions and evaluate translation quality;
- Build classifiers and apply feature selection, data mining and anomaly detection techniques;
- Process and validate data to ensure data quality and integrity ;
- Design technical architectures for AI, NLP and ML solutions ;
- Collaborate with data and IT stakeholders on data requirements, architecture and governance;
- Provide technical expertise across AI, Advanced Analytics and Data technologies .

Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree;
- 9+ years of professional IT experience ;




- Strong experience with Python and NLP/ML development , including libraries such as SpaCy, NLTK, scikit-learn and pandas;
- Experience with Perl, Matlab and R ;
- Strong knowledge of Machine Learning and Deep Learning techniques and algorithms ;
- Experience with NLP, corpus-based linguistics, alignment models and Machine Translation ;
- Experience working with large datasets, structured/unstructured data and data lakes;
- Experience with Data Management, Data Mining and Big Data technologies ;
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure , Oracle RDBMS and PL/SQL;
- Experience with Linux/Unix, Bash, SQL and scripting;
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases and Agile software development;
- Fluent English , both written and spoken.

Nice to Have
- Experience with Machine Translation quality evaluation , including BLEU scores and human evaluation;
- Experience with Hive, Pig, MongoDB, Cassandra or HBase;
- Experience with D3.js or ggplot;
- AWS Certified Machine Learning, Microsoft Azure AI Engineer Associate or SAS AI/Machine Learning certification.
