Overview

In this role you will lead the development of Pathfinder, a strategic Life Sciences platform. You will drive architectural decisions within a cross-functional team, delivering a modern, scalable backend and improving engineering practices. You will mentor engineers and steer a greenfield product from concept to production, aligning with long-term platform strategy. This is a hands-on leadership role in an agile environment that aims to accelerate delivery and impact the life sciences industry.

Responsabilidades

- Design, develop, and maintain Java backend services and APIs within a microservices architecture
- Build scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions using Java and Spring Boot




- Deploy and operate cloud-native applications on AWS, using Docker and CI/CD pipelines
- Write clean, well-tested, and well-documented code following backend best practices
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain existing systems for reliability and performance
- Collaborate cross-functionally with frontend, QA, DevOps, and product teams

Requisitos principales

- 5 years of experience with Java (Spring Boot) and NodeJS and backend RESTful services in microservices
- Experience with SQL, Elastic Search and AWS
- 5 years of experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Good knowledge of Version Control tools (preferably Git)
- Experience in Agile delivery environments, Docker, and Jenkins
