Overview

In this role you will design, analyze and integrate electrical and lighting systems for aerospace platforms, leveraging simulation to validate performance. You work with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, compliant solutions from concept to testing. You will model transient behavior, power quality and thermal effects, and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes. This position offers impact on system-level integration and the chance to work with industry-standard tools in a cutting-edge aerospace environment.

Responsabilidades

- Design electrical power distribution, wiring harnesses and lighting systems for aerospace applications
- Perform load analysis, power budgeting and fault tree analysis to ensure reliability
- Model and optimize system performance using advanced simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE, PLECS, CATIA V5/V6 Electrical)
- Create schematics, wiring diagrams and harness specifications
- Collaborate with mechanical, avionics, software and manufacturing teams for integration
- Support test procedures and participate in testing and validation (simulation and prototyping)
- Identify and resolve design and integration issues




- Contribute to continuous improvement of electrical design processes and methodologies
- Prepare technical documentation and presentations for stakeholders

Requisitos principales

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
- Typically 4+ years experience in electrical system design and development in aerospace/defense
- Proficiency with CAD tools for schematics and harness design (CATIA V5/V6 Electrical, SEE Electrical)
- Strong expertise in electrical simulation software (MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE, PLECS) for power electronics and system-level simulation
- Solid understanding of aerospace electrical standards and best practices (MIL-STD, RTCA DO-160, ARP)
- Experience in lighting system design principles, photometric analysis and control systems (nice to have)
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and communicate technical information clearly
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Fluent in English; Spanish a plus
