The role :

As part of the development of its Protection & Automation (P&A;) activity, we are looking for a Technical Project Manager (TPM) in Energy Automation & Protection Systems, for a position based in Belgium, with a scope covering Belgium and Africa, in the energy sector. Position to be filled as soon as possible, full-time. As TPM, you combine the roles of Technical Lead Engineer and Solution Architect: you are the client's main technical point of contact on protection and automation projects for MV/HV substations and MV switchgear, serving utilities, industrial sites, power plants and data centers, from presales through to commissioning.

Key responsibilities :

* Own the technical leadership of the project : define the technical architecture, translate client needs into solutions and arbitrate technical risks.

* Support presales and customer-facing activities: build technical proposals, prepare cost estimates and present solutions to clients.

* Drive engineering and technical delivery: protection relays, local SCADA, command & control, communication networks.

* Oversee FAT/SAT testing and supervise CAD draughtsmen's work.

* Ensure technical documentation is written and kept up to date.





* Define automation network architecture for substations and the P&C;/SCADA/RTU/telecom interfaces.

* Contribute to team training and continuous improvement.

Your profile:

* Master's degree (or Bachelor's) in Electrical/Electromechanical Engineering.

* Experience in MV/HV Protection & Control (motivated junior profiles welcome, technical fit comes first).

* Proficiency with protection relays and the DIGSI tool.

* Good knowledge of MV/HV networks, substation automation, industrial Ethernet and communication protocols.

* Dutch and English are mandatory; French is a nice-to-have.

* Strong communication skills, both with clients and internal teams.

* Entrepreneurial mindset, autonomy and a strong customer/quality orientation.

* Comfortable working in a multicultural environment.

* Knowledge of IEC 61850, Ethernet cybersecurity, SCADA/RTU/telecom, a DSO/TSO environment and international experience are strong assets.

* Proficiency in AutoCAD and EPLAN is a plus.
