We're currently supporting a major enterprise client looking for an experienced Integration Engineer to join a long-term programme focused on modern API and middleware solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on integration specialist with strong Java and Apache Camel expertise who enjoys building robust, enterprise-scale connectivity solutions in a collaborative DevOps environment.

What You'll Be Doing

- Create and maintain integration services using Apache Camel and Java technologies.
- Develop reliable and high-performing interfaces between business applications and platforms.
- Apply integration best practices and messaging patterns across complex environments.
- Design, develop, and enhance integration frameworks and reusable components.
- Work within modern DevOps teams, contributing to automated deployment and delivery processes.




- Partner with senior technical stakeholders while providing guidance and support to less experienced developers.
- Help shape and improve the organisation's integration capabilities and technical roadmap.

What We're Looking For

- Solid background in Java software engineering.
- Demonstrable experience delivering solutions with Apache Camel (essential).
- Comfortable working within Linux-based environments.
- Exposure to container and cloud platforms such as OpenShift, Microsoft Azure, or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) is advantageous.
- Experience using source control and automation tools, including GitHub, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Self-motivated professional with a proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills.
