AI & Software Solutions Engineer

Leuven, Belgium (3 days onsite per week)

2-Year Contract (Freelance/Consultant) + Possible Extensions

We're seeking an experienced AI & Software Solutions Engineer to join our client that is in Leuven.

Responsibilities:

- Develop innovative software and AI solutions to enhance semiconductor R&D; and manufacturing workflows
- Contribute to the evolution of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) platform and its wider software ecosystem.
- Build tools that streamline process flow management, execution, reporting, and engineering collaboration.
- Create applications, services, and AI-enabled solutions leveraging an enterprise R&D; data platform.
- Design and implement AI agents, copilots, and automation solutions that support engineering teams.

Experience

- Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering,



Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
- Strong software development background with experience building production-grade applications.
- Strong programming skills in Python or similar languages
- Hands-on experience with AI technologies, including LLMs, AI agents, RAG, machine learning, or advanced analytics.
- Good understanding of databases, APIs, cloud technologies, and data engineering concepts.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken
