Overview

As a Senior SDET at Adaptive, you will shape the quality of our front-office trading platforms and open-source/proprietary products. You will work within a collaborative engineering culture to design and implement robust test strategies that scale with complex, low-latency systems. You drive quality through automation, exploring edge cases, and integrating tests into CI/CD to deliver reliable software. This role offers the chance to influence testing best practices and partner with cross-functional teams to achieve high-impact outcomes.

Responsabilidades

- Propose and enhance test plans with an emphasis on test automation
- Tackle challenging quality engineering problems across code, tests, and CI/CD pipelines
- Curate and execute test cases; analyze results to drive improvements
- Collaborate with QA, BAs, and development to maximize automated coverage
- Improve test automation tools alongside Dev and DevOps teams
- Educate the team on QA best practices and promote a value-add testing mindset
- Build understanding of business, technical,



and operational requirements
- Maintain CI/CD health and minimize false positives

Requisitos principales

- Strong QA methodologies, shift-left practices, and full SDLC (TDD, BDD, Scrum, Kanban)
- Proficient in Java with focus on automated testing, debugging, and root-cause analysis
- Experience across unit to E2E testing; exploratory testing for edge cases
- BDT practices: story refinement, example mapping, acceptance criteria, 3 Amigos
- Containerised test environments with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test integration; monitoring and telemetry
- Performance profiling and identifying bottlenecks; observable systems
- Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenShift) and distributed pub/sub low-latency messaging
- Knowledge of AI tooling in QA workflows; chaos testing for fault tolerance
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration
