Overview

As a Spanish Payroll Specialist at CloudPay, you will own the full payroll cycle for clients in Spain, ensuring compliance with local laws and deadlines. You’ll collaborate with Operations and clients to deliver accurate, audit-ready payroll outputs. The role combines data-driven processing with regulatory knowledge to support smooth payroll delivery. You will work in a cross-functional, hybrid Barcelona-based environment and contribute to continuous improvement in payroll services.

Responsabilidades

- Manage end-to-end Spanish payroll processing aligned with monthly calendars and Spanish regulations
- Collaborate with Operations to validate inputs and reconciliations to meet legal and client requirements
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies prior to processing and review outputs for accuracy
- Maintain payroll records for audit/compliance purposes
- Prepare and upload monthly payroll reports to the CloudPay platform
- Handle Spanish Social Security communications and submissions via SILTRA, CONTRAT@, CERTIFIC@, and DELTA
- Oversee monthly Social Security contributions and address any delays or issues
- Coordinate calculation and timely submission of AEAT tax declarations (models 111, 216, 190, 296, 345)




- Support payroll testing and parallel runs for new client implementations or system changes
- Collaborate with Implementation to ensure smooth client transitions to in-house team
- Assist in setup/config validations to ensure client data is complete for payroll delivery

Requisitos principales

- Extensive hands-on experience with end-to-end Spanish payroll processing
- Deep knowledge of Spanish payroll legislation, compliance, and reporting requirements
- Experience handling complex components (benefits-in-kind, versátil remuneration, stock options/RSUs, non-resident scenarios)
- Strong written and verbal Spanish and English communication (English min. B2)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, email, and Google Apps
- Proactive planning, independent prioritization, and confident decision-making
- Familiarity with Wolters Kluwer A3 and SUMAR is a plus
- Exposure to international payroll environments is beneficial
- Willingness to attend the Barcelona office three times per month
