Overview

In this Lead Animator role, you drive the animation direction for a new action-based, cross-platform IP, shaping movement and storytelling for iconic characters. You’ll lead and grow the animation team, ensuring high-quality, consistent performance aligned with the project’s artistic direction and licensor expectations. You collaborate across Art, Design, Programming and external partners to integrate animation seamlessly into gameplay and reader-friendly experiences. This is a chance to influence animation standards, mentor talent, and contribute to a major multi-platform title.

Responsabilidades

- Lead and grow the animation team, providing ongoing feedback and mentorship across seniority levels
- Maintain and elevate the animation quality bar for movement, weight, acting and personality
- Plan and oversee production, manage priorities and delivery, stepping in to contribute when needed
- Collaborate with Game Design, Programming,



Art and Technical Animation to ensure animation supports gameplay and rigging/skinning requirements
- Coordinate with external partners to ensure outsourced animation integrates with internal work

Requisitos principales

- Strong expertise in 3D character animation for games with ability to cover realistic and stylized styles
- Solid understanding of movement, weight, acting, timing and storytelling to preserve character identity
- Ability to establish and communicate animation quality standards and provide clear feedback
- Experience with game animation production and real-time workflows; collaboration with Technical Animators on rigging and game-engine states
- Ability to plan, prioritize and communicate scope, quality and delivery
- Proficiency with Maya and/or 3ds Max; portfolio/showreel demonstrating relevant game animation
- Fluent English in a multinational development environment
