Overview

In this Medior Backend Software Engineer role, you contribute to developing cloud-based web applications for ports and terminals. You join a cross-functional team, working from design to deployment to maintain scalable, reliable software. You’ll build and consume RESTful APIs within a microservices ecosystem, leveraging real-time data and AI-driven insights. This is a chance to help digitalize maritime operations and contribute to a high-impact digital twin initiative that improves efficiency, safety, and resilience.

Responsabilidades

- Design, develop, and maintain Java (Spring Boot) web features
- Participate in full SDLC including testing, deployment and maintenance
- Collaborate with Product Managers and UX/UI designers to translate requirements into solutions
- Build and consume RESTful APIs and contribute to Kafka-based integrations
- Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews to raise standards
- Implement intuitive UIs aligned with UX/UI designs




- Troubleshoot defects and performance issues; create automated tests
- Document technical solutions and share knowledge within the team
- Contribute to continuous improvement and technical discussions

Requisitos principales

- Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience (Java)
- Strong knowledge of Java and Spring Boot
- Experience designing, developing, or consuming RESTful APIs
- Understanding of microservices and asynchronous communication
- Knowledge of clean code and software development best practices
- Experience with automated testing for frontend and backend
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proactive, team-oriented with good communication in English
- Willingness to adapt in a fast-paced environment
