Offer Description

Firstly. – To commence the selection process for the recruitment of one Senior Researcher on an employment contract, in accordance with the criteria, requirements and selection process set out in the attached Annex.

We are looking for someone to work on the 0613-New Health project, co-funded by the European Union through the 7th Call for Proposals of the Interreg VI Spain-Portugal Cross-Border Cooperation Programme 2021–2027.
The successful candidate will take part in the activities in which IBSAL is involved.

Specific Requirements

1. Hold Spanish nationality or that of any Member State of the European Union, or any nationality to which the free movement of workers applies under international treaties concluded by the European Union and ratified by Spain. Foreign nationals of any nationality who are legally resident in Spain and who also hold a valid work permit may also apply under this call for applications.
2. Be aged 18 or over and not have reached the minimum retirement age.
In the case of qualifications obtained abroad, recognition must be sought from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.
3. People with a degree of disability of 33 per cent or more may take part in this selection process on an equal footing with other applicants; this circumstance must be indicated on the application form.
4. Hold a degree comprising a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Industrial Engineering,



Physics or similar disciplines, or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Physics or similar disciplines. The requirements and merits claimed by the applicant must be duly substantiated by providing the relevant documentation (employment history, contracts, qualifications, certificates, etc.) at the time of submitting the application.

Additional Information

Contract type: Permanent contract (Article 23 bis of Law 14/2011 LCTI).

- Full-time: 35 hours.

- Remuneration: €4,090.05 gross per month, including the pro rata share of two special payments.

- Research project: 0613-New Health. New Health: Cross-border Platform for Innovation and Advanced Healthcare Services.

- Place of work: FIBSAL: Salamanca Biomedical Research Foundation. Cardiology Department.

Eligibility criteria

Assessment of merits and skills based on CV (0–60 points)

- I. - WORK EXPERIENCE in the field: (Maximum 40 points)

- Proven experience in systems integration: HL7 or similar (0–40)

- II. - QUALIFICATIONS in the relevant field: (Maximum 20 points)

- Assessment of the CV (0–20)

- Candidates who hold a disability certificate indicating a disability level of 33 per cent or higher will have their final score increased by 2 points

- Competency-based interview: (0–40 points). During this stage, candidates will discuss the details set out in their CV and supporting documentation, with the assessment focusing primarily on aspects such as: adaptability, proactivity, teamwork, analytical skills, planning, organisation and results-orientation,



as well as knowledge of how IIS systems operate and the role to be performed.

Selection process

The selection process will consist of two stages:
1. Analysis and assessment of the CVs of all applications received, ranking them according to how well the CV matches the established profile and meets the requirements, and assessment of the merits claimed
2. Competency-based interview: candidates with the highest scores in Phase 1 will be invited to attend, provided their score in that phase exceeds half plus one. The selection panel may decide to declare the vacancy unfilled if no candidate is deemed suitable for the post.

Additional comments

Once the application submission process has been completed, the following steps will be published on the IBSAL website:

-

- Publication of the provisional decision listing those admitted and those not admitted based on the minimum requirements, with a period of 5 calendar days for the submission of representations.

- Publication of the provisional decision on the assessment, with a period of 5 calendar days for the submission of representations.

- Publication of the final decision on the admission and exclusion of candidates, including the list of those admitted.

- Publication of the final decision on the scoring and the minutes of the allocation of places.

Once the decision and the minutes of the allocation have been published and the selected candidate has been notified, they will have 7 working days to accept or decline the post for which they have been shortlisted. In the absence of a response, the post will be deemed to have been declined, and the next candidate with the highest score in the relevant assessment will be selected for the post.

In the event of an urgent need to fill the post, the candidate will have a period of 2 working days to communicate their acceptance or rejection of the post, after which the procedure set out in the previous paragraph will apply. xqbhyrx

The publication shall serve as notification; this publication shall replace individual notification to the persons concerned and shall have the same legal effect.
