Overview

In this role you lead Android mobile components within Roche’s unified Design System, translating UX and client needs into scalable, maintainable code. You will architect, develop, and maintain components, ensure quality through automated tests and CI, and document and promote design-system adoption. You’ll collaborate with Design, UX, and client teams to align goals and deliver a consistent mobile experience. Location options include Vienna or Sant Cugat, contributing to healthcare digital products that improve patient outcomes.

Responsabilidades

- Architect, develop, and maintain Design System mobile components and interaction patterns
- Write, review, and maintain clean, testable, scalable Kotlin code for Android
- Ensure code quality via automated tests, code review, and CI pipelines
- Assess mobile component development for quality, usability, and future readiness
- Participate in Mobile App architecture aligned with platform strategies and standards




- Collaborate with Design & Development teams to align goals and outcomes
- Document Mobile Components and support adoption, testing, and maintenance
- Champion Design System adoption with clients and Usability Engineers
- Brainstorm improvements and evaluate new technologies, patterns, and frameworks
- Create AI-assisted design-system documentation and examples to ensure compatibility

Requisitos principales

- Android Developer with 5+ years of experience
- Expert in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Git
- Experience with Material Design 3 for Jetpack Compose and Design Systems
- Strong ability to build reusable, testable, composable UI components
- Proficiency in unit tests, screenshot tests, and Compose UI tests
- Deep knowledge of accessibility best practices (A11y) in Jetpack Compose
- RTL knowledge
- Experience with design-token workflows and cross-domain collaboration
