Offer Description

The selected candidate will provide technical support on designing and building synthetic gene circuits to
program time in cells, and on characterizing these circuits, fine-tuning them, and connecting
them to other circuits / actuator modules.

Research Field Biological sciences Education Level PhD or equivalent

Specific Requirements

- PhD in life sciences,



preferably in synthetic biology or a related discipline.
- Strong background in wet-lab synthetic or molecular biology; experience in designing gene circuits or in modelling them is recommended, but not essential.
- Experience in writing articles and/or project proposals; teaching and supervision experience will be valued but is not essential.
- Good communication, teamwork, management and leadership skills.
- A good command (spoken & written) of English language.
- First-author publications (at least one).

Gross salary 37.213,80€.

Eligibility criteria

- Academic background: 0–20 points.
- Professional experience/Suitability for the proposed profile: 0–60 points.
- Other merits: 0–20 points. The minimum score to pass the selection process is 80 points.
