Finance Specialist | International Manufacturing | Madrid | Up to €60,000

Salary: Up to €60,000 gross per annum, depending on experience

Are you a hands-on finance professional who enjoys improving processes and working with colleagues across different countries?

An established integral manufacturer in the construction machinery sector is looking for a Finance Specialist to join its Madrid operation. You’ll work across day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and compliance, while collaborating with local colleagues and an internationally based Finance Leader.

This is a varied role for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work and contributing to a growing international business.

The role

- Support month-end and year-end accounting, including journals, accruals, reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Prepare and analyse profit and loss reports, balance sheets, cash flow reports and management information
- Investigate variances and unusual transactions, and communicate your findings clearly
- Maintain accurate financial records and complete bank reconciliations and other general accounting activities
- Process supplier invoices, payment requests, employee expenses and reimbursements
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable, following up on outstanding items
- Support Spanish VAT, tax and other local financial reporting requirements
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and monitoring expenditure against budget
- Prepare accurate financial information for local management and international headquarters
- Liaise with external accountants, tax advisers and auditors
- Work with colleagues across Finance, Sales, HR, Procurement, Logistics and Operations
- Help improve finance processes, procedures and internal controls
- Support finance projects and system improvements as the operation develops

About you

- Solid practical experience in a broad,



hands-on finance or accounting role
- Experience working within an international business or group, including exposure to cross-border finance activity or reporting
- Good working knowledge of Spanish accounting practices, VAT, taxation and financial compliance
- Experience with month-end reporting, reconciliations, journals and accruals
- Confidence working across areas such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting and cash flow
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
- Fluent written and spoken Spanish and English
- The ability to communicate effectively with local colleagues and international stakeholders
- A proactive approach and the ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of your responsibilities

Experience in construction machinery, manufacturing, engineering, automotive, distribution or another industrial sector would be an advantage. Experience with inventory accounting, intercompany transactions or foreign currency would also be welcome.

A specific degree or accounting qualification is not required if you have strong relevant practical experience.
