HEAD OF DELAY ANALYSIS – ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION

For a major international Engineering & Construction company , we are looking to appoint a Head Delay Analysis Manager to lead this specialized function within the Project Controls area.

We are looking for a senior professional with a strong background in Planning / Project Controls and specific experience in Delay Analysis / Forensic Scheduling on EPC projects , capable of becoming the company’s key internal expert in this field.

The Challenge

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Delay Analysis function , providing specialized support to projects and working closely with Project Management, Planning, Legal, Contracts and Subcontracts in the preparation and defence of time-related claims.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Define the Delay Analysis strategy and approach for different projects and claims.
- Determine the most appropriate analysis methodology based on the contract, purpose of the analysis and available documentation.
- Coordinate and prioritize the department’s workload, allocating resources according to project needs, workload and the criticality of each case.
- Act as the company’s internal reference and subject matter expert in Delay Analysis .
- Coordinate with Project Management,



Planning, Legal, Contracts and Subcontracts to define the strategy and requirements for each project or claim.
- Supervise and perform the final review of analyses before they are used in claims or in the defence against third-party claims.
- Prepare and review analyses for EOT claims, defence against LDs and assessment of subcontractor claims .
- Analyse Primavera P6 schedules , including baselines, updates, rebaselines and as-built schedules.
- Coordinate the involvement of external consultants and experts when required.
- Develop and maintain Delay Analysis procedures, methodologies, tools and best practices.
- Develop the team’s technical capabilities and provide direct support on the most complex cases.

Profile

- University degree in economics, business or technical disciplines .
- Postgraduate qualification in Project Management would be an advantage.
- Senior-level professional with a strong track record in Planning / Project Controls .
- Specific experience in Delay Analysis / Forensic Scheduling on EPC projects .
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Critical Path Method (CPM) .
- Experience in Extension of Time (EOT) and construction claims .
- Knowledge of internationally recognized best practices such as the SCL Delay and Disruption Protocol and AACE Recommended Practices . xhfqzwm
