Overview

As a Design Mechanical Engineer you lead design projects for AWS data centers, driving upgrades and new services while providing end-to-end lifecycle support from design through implementation. You will collaborate with extensive cross-functional teams to ensure standards, reliability, and scalable infrastructure. You’ll work on multiple projects across regions, mentor junior engineers, and occasionally travel up to 25%. This role supports mission-critical facilities at a integral scale within AWS Infrastructure Services.

Responsabilidades

- Perform design and equipment submittal review for Data Centers in your region
- Interface with data center design engineering, server hardware, EHS, field engineering, and controls engineering to promote standards




- Work on concurrent projects across multiple regions as a technical subject matter expert
- Support construction, commissioning, operations, and turnover
- Mentor and oversee junior engineers in your discipline
- Travel up to 25% for projects locally and globally

Requisitos principales

- Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience with design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission critical facilities, especially data centers
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
