Overview

In this role you will oversee accounting operations and ensure compliance with laws and standards. You will lead the accounting team, manage financial records, and provide timely reporting to management. You will analyse financial data to identify trends, drive improvements, and support budgeting and forecasting. The position sits within the Finance function at GEODIS, contributing to accurate financials and informed decision-making in a European context.

Responsabilidades

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable and assess credit risk
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and accounting standards
- Analyse general ledger accounts and financial data for trends and variances
- Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and management reports
- Lead and develop the accounting team, set goals, and monitor performance




- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost-saving initiatives
- Drive process improvements and develop new accounting procedures

Requisitos principales

- Master's degree
- 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience managing accounting operations and teams
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prepare and interpret financial reports and budgets
- Knowledge of accounting principles, rules, and norms
- Capability to communicate with clients and management to provide financial guidance
