Role Description The Account Executive role is a contract position based in the Greater Barcelona Metropolitan Area, structured as a hybrid role with a mix of on-site client and event visits and some work-from-home flexibility. In this role, the Account Executive manages client accounts end-to-end, including understanding client needs, preparing proposals, coordinating accommodation and event logistics, and ensuring timely, accurate communication. Day-to-day tasks include liaising with hotels, venues, and suppliers; tracking budgets and timelines; maintaining CRM records; and supporting the production of corporate, hybrid, and virtual events.
The Account
Executive collaborates closely with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions, resolves issues quickly, and monitors event execution to ensure a seamless experience for clients. This position requires proactive follow-up before, during, and after events to maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in account management, client services, or sales within events, hospitality, travel, or a related service industry.
- Strong skills in relationship building, stakeholder management, and negotiation with clients, hotels, venues, and suppliers.
- Hands-on experience with event coordination or operations, including logistics planning, venue sourcing, and on-site support.
- Proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., CRM systems, spreadsheets, presentation software, email and messaging platforms).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional European languages, especially Spanish or French, are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and capacity to work both independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Availability to work adaptable hours around major events and travel occasionally within Europe as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, Event Management, Marketing, or equivalent experience will be considered.
