AEM Backend Developer – 100% Remote, Spain

We are looking for an experienced AEM Backend Developer to join a long-term project, working 100% remotely from Spain.

Location: Spain – 100% remote

Start: ASAP

Contract: Initially until 31 December 2026, with likely extension every 3 months on a long tern basis.

Rate: €35.00 per hour

Hours : 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

Overview

As an AEM Backend Developer, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance and support of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) solutions across both AEM On-Premise (Services) and AEM Cloud (Sites) environments.

You will work as part of an Agile team, delivering backend development according to business requirements while also investigating and resolving production incidents.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain backend solutions within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
- Work across AEM On-Premise and AEM Cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain AEM services and sites according to business requirements.
- Investigate and resolve backend bugs and production incidents.




- Develop and integrate REST APIs and microservices.
- Participate actively in SAFe/Agile ceremonies.
- Collaborate closely with developers and other members of the wider delivery team.
- Support code integration, deployment and development workflows.

Required Skills & Experience

- Strong Java backend development experience.
- Solid commercial experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
- Experience with both AEM On-Premise and AEM Cloud is highly desirable.
- Experience with REST APIs and microservices.
- Knowledge of Andromeda.
- Working knowledge of TypeScript and HTML.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins and Jira.
- Experience working within Agile/SAFe environments.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
- Professional working proficiency in English.

Important: Candidates must be based in Spain and able to work remotely from Spain for the duration of the assignment.
