Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers is a full-time, on-site role based in Madrid. This position is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and training volunteers to support educational and community-focused activities.

Day-to-day tasks include scheduling volunteer shifts, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that volunteers understand their responsibilities and receive ongoing guidance. The coordinator will develop and implement volunteer management processes, coordinate with program staff to align volunteer efforts with organizational needs, and organize recognition initiatives to maintain engagement. The role also involves facilitating communication between volunteers and the organization, supporting community outreach efforts, and addressing questions or concerns from volunteers in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications

- Strong volunteer management skills, including experience in Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training.




- Excellent interpersonal skills and Communication abilities for working effectively with diverse groups of volunteers and staff.
- Experience or interest in Community Outreach, preferably in educational or nonprofit settings.
- Organizational and time-management skills to coordinate schedules, events, and multiple volunteer initiatives.
- Ability to work on-site in Madrid and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in volunteer coordination, community programs, or education-related projects is an asset.
- Comfort using basic digital tools (spreadsheets, databases, email platforms) to track and communicate with volunteers.
- Relevant post-secondary education in education, social sciences, nonprofit management, or a related field is preferred.
