Role Description This is a full-time remote Fashion Designer role focused on developing innovative apparel concepts that align with Babylon Group’s sustainability and technology-driven vision.

The Fashion

Designer will create original designs, select fabrics and textiles, prepare detailed technical sketches, and collaborate with product development and production teams to ensure designs can be manufactured efficiently. Daily tasks include researching fashion trends, colors, and materials, preparing mood boards and collections, and refining designs based on fitting sessions and stakeholder feedback.



The role also involves incorporating embroidery and surface embellishment techniques, maintaining brand consistency across collections, and coordinating with merchandising and marketing teams to present designs effectively.

The Fashion

Designer will work closely with cross-functional partners to meet timelines, quality standards, and general brand expectations in a remote, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Fashion Design and Fashion concepts, including trend analysis and collection development.
- Hands-on experience with Textiles and fabric selection, understanding material properties and sustainable options.
- Proficiency in Fitting processes, garment construction details, and translating feedback into design adjustments.
- Skill in Embroidery and decorative techniques, integrating embellishments into functional, scalable designs.
- Ability to use design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD tools) for technical sketches and presentation boards.
- Relevant education in Fashion Design, Textiles, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with remote, cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail, time management, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices and interest in innovation within the apparel industry is highly beneficial.
