Job Overview

LDA Capital is looking for a results-driven professional to actively engage with global publicly traded companies seeking alternative financing and to originate transactions for the firm’s public markets investment strategy. Candidates shall have a background in equity/debt capital markets across advisory, investing or financial sales.

The ideal candidate is an energetic self-starter with the ability to identify influencers and decision makers. You will discover qualified investment opportunities by identifying targets resulting from various investment themes; you will be expected to build rapport and to establish long-term relationships along the way. The position requires the management of a high-volume of investment opportunities requiring constant interaction and communication with potential targets; exceptional attention to detail is a must.

The individual must be highly motivated, must work well under pressure and must have the ability to work independently in a rapidly evolving capital markets environment. This candidate will work closely with members of the transaction team and Investment Committee.

Responsibilities:

- Drive origination of investment opportunities,



and convert qualified leads into transactions.
- Research and investigate investment opportunities, and analyze new relationship opportunities via LinkedIn and e-mailing.
- Perform financial & technical analyses, conduct industry research, and prepare deal screening memos to be reviewed by the investment committee.
- Assist the Managing Partners and Investment teams in various projects, including the sourcing of special situation investment opportunities and new business ventures for the firm.
- Consistently achieve monthly quota of qualified investment opportunities.
- Update and manage all origination activities, track opportunities, and maintain account information in CRM.

Abilities, Skills and Attributes:

- At least 5 years of experience at ECM, DCM, or Brokerage firm sales desks selling and structuring deals in the capital markets for boutique and independent funds or investment banks.
- Proven ability to analyze global public companies as a generalist, distilling complex SWOT dynamics into clear financing needs. You must be able to sound smart, credible, and persuasive on calls with global management teams, walking them down a path that highlights exactly why LDA's growth capital terms are the right strategic fit for their business.
- Highly motivated and driven with a proven track record in successful deal sourcing, and an established ability to deliver closed transactions to the firm.
- Impeccable work ethic, operating as entrepreneurial thinkers and executers.
- Willing to go the extra mile and not accept “No” for answer.




- A person who has a “hungry” mentality and will investigate extensively until getting the right information/answer; he/she must be persistent in their day-to-day modus operandi.
- Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills.

Requirements:

- 5-7 years of relevant work experience (must).
- Bilingual preferred (must be fluent in English).
- Ready, willing, and able to work extended (early and late) hours given various global time zones.
- Proven ability to work the phones, manage high volume of emails and ability to network virtually (i.e., LinkedIn).
- Strong work ethic with professional behavior, appearance, and personal integrity.
- Keen interest in the financial markets and strong business acumen.
- Confident and self-aware with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Genuine passion for excellence; results oriented.
- Ability to work independently with focus and determination.
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, Excel, Bloomberg, Word and PowerPoint applications).
- Relevant industry experience.

Physical Demands:

- Ability to sit for up to 10 hours per day, and move freely around the office for up to 10 hours per day.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and work daily in a physical office environment.

Compensation & Application:

- Location: Madrid, Spain
- Compensation: EUR 65,000 Base Salary + discretionary bonus
