Optical Metrology / Measurement Engineer- Brussels Belgium

We’re looking for an experienced Optical Metrology / Measurement Engineer to join our team in Belgium.

What you’ll be doing

- Develop and optimise optical measurement and metrology solutions for complex customer applications.
- Work with customers to understand measurement requirements, challenges and performance targets.
- Select and configure appropriate optical measurement technologies and systems.
- Perform measurement analysis, validation and system characterisation.
- Support the integration, commissioning and optimisation of measurement systems.
- Investigate measurement uncertainty, accuracy, repeatability and reproducibility.
- Troubleshoot complex technical and measurement problems.
- Work closely with R&D;, engineering, sales and applications teams to develop effective solutions.
- Conduct customer demonstrations, technical evaluations and application trials.




- Provide technical expertise throughout the customer project lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities to improve measurement processes, system performance and customer outcomes.
- Stay at the forefront of developments in optical metrology and precision measurement.

What we’re looking for

You’ll ideally already have experience in optical metrology, precision measurement, dimensional measurement, optical systems, industrial inspection or a closely related field.

You’ll bring:

- Strong practical and theoretical understanding of measurement principles.
- Experience with optical measurement or metrology technologies.
- Experience analysing measurement data and assessing measurement performance.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- The ability to understand complex technical requirements and turn them into practical solutions.
- Experience working with precision engineering, manufacturing or industrial customers.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to discuss technical subjects with engineers and senior technical stakeholders.
- A methodical and hands-on approach to solving difficult measurement problems.
- Native Belgium with English communication skills.

A degree or equivalent technical qualification in optics, physics, metrology, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a related discipline would be advantageous.
