In this role you advance threat detection architecture within ADP’s security program, collaborating with CIRC, Threat Intelligence, and engineering teams to design and refine detection, prevention, and response capabilities. You’ll build and maintain cyber alert catalogs and push for innovative detection technologies and automation. You’ll translate security needs into concrete detection content for EDR, NDR, and SOAR, while reducing false positives and improving incident response.

You will work hybrid, partnering across IT, Ops, and Engineering and stay current on emerging threats to drive impactful security improvements.

- Develop advanced alerting capabilities based on threat intel, post-incident findings, new threats, and vulnerabilities
- Maintain expert understanding of attacks, vectors, and emergent threats
- Create and implement new detections for the SOAR platform from stakeholder requests and threat intel
- Collaborate with CIRC and threat management to define requirements and deliverables
- Implement content in EDR, NDR, and SOAR
- Stay updated on threats and APT/TTPs to inform detections
- Contribute to SOPs and documentation, including configuration guides and training materials




- Build detection logic using security logs to detect malicious activity with high fidelity
- Provide design support to improve detection and response capabilities
- Mature CIRC playbooks, workflows, and use cases; backup CIRC as needed
- Analyze CIRC alert statistics to reduce false positives and focus engineering efforts
- Work with CIRC, Threat management, and engineering to develop tailored detections
- Explain security concepts to diverse audiences

Responsabilidades

- 2 years+ experience in threat detection or threat hunting
- Strong analytical and cross-functional knowledge across security disciplines
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills
- Experience xugodme with databases and data warehouse technologies
- Proficiency in system automation using Python or PowerShell
- Experience building high-fidelity detection logic from security logs
- Project or program management experience
- Experience with cloud providers (AWS or Azure)
- Familiarity with log outputs from diverse network/host devices (HIDS, NIDS, Firewalls, etc.)
- Proficiency in text/data formats (XML, HTML, Regular Expressions, JSON, REST, SQL)
- Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols (DNS, HTTP, etc.)
- Experience with SIEM and SOAR
- Creative, independent problem-solver with integrity and strong communication
