Core Expectations
·Own end-to-end data migration strategy and roadmap for a brownfield Workday tenant (not new implementation), including legacy data cleansing, duplication, and historical data decisions (what to migrate vs. archive vs. discard)
·Act as the business owner/challenger of implementation partner's migration and conversion approach
·Translate new data model and job architecture design into legacy-to-target data mapping requirements, working closely with the design/configuration workstreams
·Define and enforce data governance standards for the new master data model (ownership, stewardship, ongoing maintenance post go-live)
·Assess and manage downstream impacts on current HR architecture (integrations, payroll, benefits, TA/TM systems) driven by data model changes
·Own migration testing strategy: mock loads, reconciliation, validation cycles, and sign-off criteria — reviewing execution, not performing EIB loads personally
·Be conversant enough in Workday data structures (HCM Core, Comp, Absence, Recruiting) and EIB/load tools to interrogate technical output and catch errors
·Manage cutover planning for data migration (sequencing, freeze periods, fallback plans)
·Ensure compliance with GDPR and local data privacy regulations across all migrated data
·Escalate migration risks/blockers to programme leadership and drive resolution with Accenture
