For our client, we are looking for a Senior Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Domain Lead to take ownership of the BCDR domain within a large, complex and mission-critical organisation.

This is not a purely advisory role. We are looking for someone who can take ownership, make decisions, define priorities and drive the implementation of Business Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery strategies.

Your responsibilities

- Own and further develop the organisation's Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery strategy
- Define and maintain Business Continuity Plans, Disaster Recovery strategies and recovery plans
- Lead Business Impact Analyses (BIA) and continuity/risk assessments
- Define and challenge RTO/RPO requirements and recovery solutions
- Identify practical recovery strategies and mitigation measures
- Lead and coordinate BC/DR testing, crisis simulations and exercises
- Ensure continuity and recovery capabilities are regularly tested and improved
- Work closely with business stakeholders, IT, risk, security, architecture and external partners
- Support senior management in resilience and continuity-related decisions
- Balance risk, business requirements, technical feasibility and budget constraints
- Establish and maintain BCDR governance, policies and reporting
- Ensure alignment with relevant regulatory and industry requirements




- Act as a senior point of contact during continuity and crisis-related situations

Your profile

- 10+ years of relevant experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Operational Resilience or a closely related field
- Strong hands-on experience in both Business Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery
- Proven experience taking ownership and accountability for BCDR programmes or strategies
- Strong understanding of BIA, RTO, RPO, recovery strategies and resilience testing
- Experience leading crisis simulations, DR tests and continuity exercises
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including interaction with senior management and business stakeholders
- Ability to make pragmatic decisions and balance risk, business needs and budget
- Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics or a related field
- Excellent English
- Professional proficiency in French or Dutch
- Experience in a large-scale, complex or mission-critical environment is highly valued
