Junior Kidswear Designer - Décor Apparel

We are a solid international fashion company with offices across the globe and a strong presence in the European and U.S. markets. We design, develop and produce, supplying major global retailers. Our A Coruña office is currently seeking a Kidswear Designer to join the team and report directly to the Managing Director, covering a maternity leave.

Role Overview

As a Kidswear Designer, you will be part of the design & development team of woven apparel categories within the Kidswear division. You will oversee the full creative lifecycle from trend research and concept development ensuring every product achieves the highest standards of design, functionality, cost efficiency, and commercial viability.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop seasonal kidswear collections, aligned with both brand identity and commercial strategy
- Prepare comprehensive tech packs, including detailed sketches,



construction specifications, fabric choices, and fit guidelines
- Conduct ongoing trend, color, fabric, and market research, presenting key insights to internal teams and clients
- Partner with the Product Development team to source fabrics and trims
- Oversee sample development with overseas teams, identifying and resolving technical or design-related issues
- Support client-facing activities, including product presentations, reviews, and alignment with merchandising strategy
- Represent the design team at supplier visits

Candidate profile

- Fashion Design studies.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in fashion design.
- Able to translate creative concepts into commercially viable, production-ready garments
- In-depth awareness of integral and regional fashion markets, with strong insight into kidswear brands, emerging trends, and consumer behavior across key markets
- In-depth knowledge of technical fabrics, trims, and finishes.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
- Graphic design skills will be a plus
- B1 driving license and access to own vehicle will be valued.
- Experience working for textile suppliers in Asia will be valued.
