HR & People Coordinator – Part-Time
Polo Valley | Sotogrande, Cádiz
Polo Valley is a leading polo and equestrian centre based in the Sotogrande area, with an international team and a dynamic, people-focused working environment.
We are looking for an HR & People Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis and take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination and administration of our people processes.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is organised, proactive and comfortable working independently. You will work closely with management and employees across the business, supporting the full employee lifecycle and helping us continue to develop and professionalise our HR processes.
The person we are looking for
This role would suit someone who is comfortable being hands-on and close to the day-to-day reality of the business . We are not looking for someone who simply processes HR administration; we are looking for someone who can take ownership, anticipate needs, follow things through and build strong working relationships with both management and employees.

Tareas
The role
The HR & People Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day management of HR matters across the business, including:
Recruitment & Talent
- Managing recruitment processes from start to finish, including preparing and publishing vacancies, actively sourcing candidates and reviewing applications.
- Conducting initial candidate screening and coordinating interviews with the relevant managers.
- Maintaining an organised and up-to-date candidate database for current and future recruitment needs.
- Supporting workforce planning and identifying recruitment needs across the different areas of the business.
Employee Lifecycle
- Coordinating onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring that all necessary documentation, systems and practical arrangements are properly managed.
- Preparing and maintaining employee documentation and personnel records.
- Monitoring contracts, renewals, probation periods and other relevant employment milestones.
- Acting as a point of contact for employees regarding day-to-day HR matters.
HR Administration
- Managing and monitoring holidays, absences, leave and other employee-related incidents.
- Keeping employee records and HR systems up to date.
- Supporting time and attendance management and following up on relevant incidents.
- Coordinating with external payroll and employment advisors on matters requiring specialist or legal input.
- Ensuring that HR procedures and internal processes are consistently applied.
- Supporting management with day-to-day people-related matters.
People & Organisation
- Helping to develop and implement clear and practical HR procedures.
- Supporting managers with employee-related matters and providing appropriate follow-up.
- Identifying opportunities to improve the employee experience and the way HR processes are managed.
- Maintaining clear communication between management, employees and external HR providers.
Requisitos
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a practical, organised and proactive HR professional who enjoys working in a small company where autonomy, discretion and initiative are important.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a generalist HR / People role , with experience across different areas of the employee lifecycle.
- Experience in recruitment and active candidate sourcing.
- Good understanding of HR administration and employment processes.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and manage several matters simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality when dealing with employee information.
- Good working knowledge of Spanish employment practices and HR administration .
- Good level of English , both written and spoken, as we work within an international environment.
- Valid driving licence and own vehicle , as the role will require travel between our different locations in the Sotogrande and San Enrique areas.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or relevant HR management systems.
Desirable
- Experience working in a small or medium-sized business where HR is managed with a high degree of autonomy.
- Experience with HR software, employee management platforms or digital time-and-attendance systems.
- Experience working in an international or multicultural environment.
- Experience in hospitality, sport, equestrian or other people-focused environments.
