EISB is surrounded by the 8.465 hectare Collserola Natural Park, on a 14.000m2 plot with 10.503m2 of constructed spaces for classrooms, laboratories, dining rooms, a library, auditorium, a gymnasium, two swimming pools and a fully-equipped kitchen.

About the Role

European International School of Barcelona is looking for a passionate and dedicated Catalan Teacher to join our Secondary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education, excellent teaching skills, and the ability to engage and inspire students.

Responsibilities

- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons to students in Secondary (ESO, Baccalaureate & IB).
- Develop and implement curriculum in line with school standards and educational best practices.
- Assess and evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents,



and the school administration to support student’s development and school initiatives.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and school events.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Language and Literature, Linguistics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Required Skills

- Two years of previous experience in similar positions.
- Experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) program is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Catalan home language.
- A valid work permit to work in Spain.
- Ability to use technology effectively in the classroom.
- Commitment to continuous professional growth and development.

Preferred Skills

- Spanish & English language are desirable.
