The Role The Product Operations Manager is the connective tissue between product strategy and execution within the Deel Local Payroll team. You'll embed directly within the product team, ensuring the development lifecycle runs smoothly, stakeholders stay aligned, and the voice of the customer drives continuous improvement. You don't define what we build—that's the PM's domain.

You empower the entire team to move faster, smarter, and with total clarity. You'll partner with Product Managers, engineering, support, compliance, and operations teams across multiple countries to deliver world-class payroll solutions at scale.

Responsibilities

- Backlog governance: Own daily backlog hygiene, ticket triage, and progress reporting. Route support requests correctly and keep Jira workflows flowing.




- Product planning and insights: Facilitate planning meetings, consolidate stakeholder feedback, and support prioritization exercises. Build dashboards that turn data into actionable insights.
- Customer feedback and discovery: Collect feedback from support tickets, CSAT, product usage data, and customer interviews. Triage, analyze, and route insights to the product team.

- Product releases and go-to-market: Create release plans, align stakeholders across geographies, build launch documentation, and ensure post-launch success.
- Stakeholder coordination: Manage relationships with support, sales, and compliance teams. Organize retrospectives, maintain feedback channels, and ensure the operational machine runs smoothly.
- Cross-country dependency management: Track and surface dependencies between teams and countries, ensuring handovers don't create silos.
- Data and operational reporting: Build reports on product KPIs, feature adoption, and business metrics. Work with data teams to maintain dashboards and track performance.
- Tools and process optimization: Maintain Jira workflows and dashboards as a system admin.

Design automations using Zapier or Parabola to improve team efficiency.

Qualifications

- 3 to 5 years of experience in Product Operations, Product Management, Program Management, or similar operational roles within SaaS or fintech
- Demonstrable experience working with payroll, HR tech, or regulated financial services
- Expert-level Jira administration: workflows, automation, ticket hygiene, and dashboards
- Ability to build dashboards in Looker, Amplitude, or similar BI platforms
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working across distributed, cross-functional teams
- Process design mindset with ability to identify gaps and build scalable solutions
- Comfort combining qualitative feedback with quantitative data to drive product insights
- Experience managing ticket-based workflows at scale, including backlog triage and sprint hygiene
- Track record driving go-to-market readiness and feature adoption across multiple stakeholders

Nice to Have

- Familiarity with payroll statutory requirements (PAYE, NIC, RTI, FPS/EPS, auto-enrolment, pension middleware)
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks in regulated industries
- Experience with OSHD/KTLO operational workflows
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Zendesk, or product analytics tools (OpenReplay, Snowflake, Heap)

- Our salary range reflects gross base salary. For commercial roles with commission eligibility, this figure represents On-Target Earnings (OTE), inclusive of base salary and target commission.
- Salary ranges are quoted in USD as a consistent global reference. Your offer will be localized to your country's currency using a market-aligned conversion.
- Final pay is based on objective, job-related criteria including experience, skills, and location.
