We are seeking a senior QA/QC Lead to oversee vendor quality surveillance activities for the fabrication of mechanical equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping systems, reformers, conveyors, and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and monitor Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), WPS/PQR/WPQ documentation, NDE reports, material certificates, and fabrication records.
- Perform vendor quality inspections throughout fabrication, including material receipt, fit-up, welding, PWHT, pressure testing, coating, and final release.
- Coordinate inspection activities with vendors and third-party inspectors across Spain and Italy.
- Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and root cause investigations.
- Verify Manufacturing Record Books (MRBs), Manufacturer's Data Reports, PED conformity documentation, CE marking requirements, and Declarations of Conformity.
- Provide regular reporting on inspection progress, risks, and quality performance to project management.

Essential Requirements





- Minimum 8 years' experience in QA/QC inspection of static and mechanical equipment fabrication within oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical processing, energy, or industrial projects (10+ years preferred).
- Proven hands-on experience with ASME VIII Div.1, ASME B31.3, and PED 2014/68/EU conformity assessment for CE-marked equipment (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding, NDE, material traceability, and quality documentation.
- Experience conducting shop surveillance and vendor inspections.

Qualifications & Certifications

- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Welding, Metallurgy, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification.
- Certified Welding Inspector qualification such as CSWIP 3.1, AWS-CWI, or IWI-S/IWI-C.
- Good understanding of NDE methods and quality management processes.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
